Irish Creme Liqueur

Here is a recipe for homemade Irish Creme aka Bailey’s Irish Creme Liqueur.  I made this a couple of years ago and it was a great substitute for the original…and much cheaper!

1 C light/single cream (use heavy/double cream for a richer mix)

1 (14oz/400g) can sweetened condensed milk

1 2/3 C/385ml Irish Whiskey

1 tsp instant coffee

2 Tbsp chocolate syrup

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tsp almond extract

Combine all ingredients in  blender and blend at high speed for 30-45 seconds.  Place in a tightly sealed bottle and refrigerate. (I used an empty Bailey’s bottle!)

Shake well before serving.  Liqueur will keep for 3-4 months if refrigerated…if it lasts that long!
